Digital transformation at Reempresa: a leap to the cloud with Dynamics 365

The Challenge
Reempresa faced a complex transformation need: migrating its CRM 2011, an on‑premise platform with obsolete technology, to the Dynamics 365 cloud environment.
Reempresa, an initiative promoted by the Cecot Employers’ Association and the Autoocupació Foundation to support businesses and foster economic development, is one of the main business organizations in Catalonia. Since its creation in 2011, it has specialized in facilitating the purchase and sale of businesses, offering a comprehensive and free service that connects entrepreneurs with owners looking to sell their companies. With personalized advisory services and a Marketplace featuring more than 1,300 business listings, Reempresa has become a benchmark in the transfer of small and medium‑sized enterprises in Catalonia, promoting business continuity and regional economic growth.
This transition involved not only a technical challenge due to the jump across multiple versions, but also the careful handling of a massive volume of historical data critical to its operations.
Ultimately, it was not just a technological challenge but also a human one: change management, user training, and cultural adaptation were essential to ensure the success of the migration.
El Viaje
To tackle this ambitious project, Axazure designed a comprehensive plan that combined technology, processes, and people‑focused support.
Data migration was carried out meticulously to ensure the full preservation of all historical information, with a strong emphasis on data quality and traceability.
A key aspect was the replacement of ClickDimensions, their traditional email marketing tool, with the native Customer Insights solution, modernizing the company’s digital marketing capabilities without losing continuity in their campaigns.

Another critical consideration during the project was the strong dependency on CRM integration with the company’s website, where business listings are published. This requirement was addressed by ensuring continuous, uninterrupted connectivity between both systems, achieved through seamless integration with Dynamics 365, guaranteeing that information remained updated and synchronized in real time.
Additionally, the project included the development of a Power Pages portal fully integrated with Dynamics 365. This portal enables more than 100 external consultants to create and manage business records easily and securely, without needing direct access to the CRM. The system automates data updates in the central CRM, optimizing operational efficiency.
Throughout the process, continuous change management efforts were carried out, including ongoing training, adoption workshops, personalized support sessions, and proactive communication to ensure users could quickly adapt and make the most of the new system.
